We therefore provide you with important information on how to determine the correct collar size.<\/p>

WHAT YOU NEED<\/h5>

- Your Dog
- A flexible tape measure
- A well-fitting collar from your wardrobe<\/p>

WHAT TO MEASURE<\/h5>

- Neck circumference (center of neck) tight fitting WITHOUT fingers in between<\/span>
- Head circumference (important for pull stop)<\/span>
- With your well-fitting collar (closed), measure the circumference on the inner side<\/span>

COLLAR WITH BUCKLE<\/h3>

Our collars with buckle are adjustable to 5 different sizes. You can choose your new collar from the following sizes:<\/p>

XS – 25 – 33cm<\/p>

S – 31 – 39cm<\/p>

M – 37 – 45cm<\/p>

L – 43 – 51cm<\/p>

XL – 49 – 57cm<\/p>

MEASURE AN EXISTING AND WELL FITTING COLLAR<\/h6>

After you have measured your dog's neck circumference with the flexible tape measure - it is important that it fits tightly - you should also measure an existing collar inside if it is on the hole setting as your dog always wears it and is closed. Make sure that the tape measure fits exactly and no gaps are left out.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

PULL-STOP COLLAR<\/h3>

Accurate measurement is very important for the pull-stop variant! The collar must fit well, because it is not adjustable.<\/p>

If it is too big, the dog can easily slip out or lose it. Therefore, the pull stop should not be too easy to slip over the dog's head and still be comfortable for the dog.<\/p>

If the collar is too tight, it chokes or, in the worst case, does not fit over the head at all.<\/p>

Therefore measure the following with a close fitting tape measure:<\/p>

- Circumference of the dog's neck in the middle position
- Circumference of the neck in the narrow part of the neck directly behind the ears
- Circumference of the head<\/p>

You should also measure an existing and well-fitting stop collar as shown:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

If you don't have a pull-stop collar - or one that doesn't fit very well - you can measure a collar with a buckle on the \u201cfits around the neck\u201d setting and the second measurement on the setting that allows you to pull it over the head. Again, take the inside measurement without gaps.<\/p>

THE RIGHT WIDTH...<\/span><\/h4>

\u00a0You can choose from three different widths for our Biothane collars:<\/p>

19mm
25mm
38mm<\/p>

Our leashes are available in 16mm or 19mm widths. We recommend 16mm for small to medium-sized dogs and 19mm for large to very large dogs.<\/p>

WHICH WIDTH TO CHOOSE...<\/h5>

When choosing the width, you should pay attention to the size of your dog and the shape of its neck. If the neck is shorter and narrow, you should choose a narrow to medium collar. For long but narrow necks, you can also choose wide to very wide collars. Large dogs can of course wear narrow to very wide collars. Make sure that the collar is not too narrow when the dog pulls too hard.
